By creating an account, accessing, or using CollectorBased (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. CollectorBased is operated from the United States and is intended for users who are at least 13 years old.
CollectorBased is a platform for Pokemon Trading Card Game collectors and vendors to track inventory, record purchases and sales, view market prices, generate financial and tax-related reports, sell at live card shows, find the best deals on cards across third-party marketplaces (eBay, TCGPlayer, Fanatics) via affiliate-tagged outbound links, and connect with other collectors. CollectorBased does not process payments, hold inventory, or facilitate transactions between users — purchases happen entirely on the third-party site you choose.
We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service without notice or liability.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your inventory, transactions, price alerts, messages, and profile data. Some records may be retained for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
Free plan: The Free plan is available at no cost and is supported by light, non-intrusive advertising. Free plan limits (cards, AI scans, alerts) are subject to change with reasonable notice.
Pro plan: $9.99/month or $99/year. Pro unlocks unlimited cards, unlimited AI scanning, the full financial suite with drill-downs and exports, Show Mode for live card shows, backfill tools, and removes ads. You may cancel anytime through Settings → Subscription.
Apple App Store purchases: If you subscribe through the iOS app, your subscription is processed and managed by Apple under Apple's standard terms. Refunds, billing changes, and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID account settings.
Web purchases: Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize CollectorBased and Stripe to charge your payment method on the recurring billing schedule you select until you cancel.
CollectorBased aggregates publicly listed offers from third-party marketplaces — including eBay, TCGPlayer, and Fanatics — and presents them ranked by total cost so you can find the best deal. We do not host listings, hold inventory, take custody of any funds, or facilitate transactions between users. When you tap a Buy button, you leave CollectorBased and complete the purchase entirely on the third-party site, which has its own terms, refund policies, dispute processes, and protections.
Affiliate disclosure. Our outbound links are affiliate-tagged. When you click a link and make a qualifying purchase on the third-party site, CollectorBased may receive a commission from that site's partner program (eBay Partner Network, Impact / TCGPlayer, Fanatics affiliate program, etc.). The price you pay is the same whether or not the link is affiliate-tagged. Commission revenue helps fund the free tier of CollectorBased.
No relationship between buyer and seller via CollectorBased. Your transaction is with the third-party marketplace and its sellers. Refunds, disputes, shipping, item authenticity, chargebacks, and tax handling are governed by the third-party site's policies. CollectorBased has no role in any transaction beyond surfacing the listing and tagging the link.
CollectorBased applies automated content moderation to all user-generated text and image submissions before they are accepted: social posts, comments, direct messages, profile bios, and uploaded photos are scanned for sexually explicit material, hateful or harassing content, threats, graphic violence, content involving minors, and other categories prohibited by our community standards. Submissions that the automated filter flags are rejected at the point of creation and do not appear on the platform.
Any logged-in user may report content that the filter missed by tapping the “Report” action available on every social surface (the three-dot menu on posts, the flag icon next to comments and messages, the report option on user profiles). Reactive reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours of receipt, in accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 1.2. Valid reports result in immediate removal of the offending content. Users may also block other users at any time from Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users, which prevents the blocked user from viewing the user's posts or sending direct messages. Repeat violators are permanently banned. Egregious violations — threats of violence, content involving minors, large-scale abuse — result in immediate permanent ban.
Listings on third-party marketplaces (eBay, TCGPlayer, Fanatics) are not hosted by CollectorBased. IP, counterfeit, or prohibited-item complaints about those listings should be filed directly with the marketplace where the listing appears.
You retain ownership of inventory data, transaction records, listings, posts, and messages you create on CollectorBased (“User Content”). You grant CollectorBased a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process your User Content as needed to operate the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, sexually explicit, or that violates the rights of others. CollectorBased reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Market prices displayed on CollectorBased are sourced from third parties (including Pokemon Price Tracker and TCGPlayer) and are provided for informational purposes. Prices are estimates of fair market value at a point in time and may not reflect what you can actually buy or sell a card for.
Financial reports, tax estimates, and any related calculations are provided as planning tools, not as tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for your own tax filings. Always consult a qualified tax professional before filing.

The CollectorBased name, logo, design, and software are owned by CollectorBased and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Pokemon, the Pokemon TCG, all card images, and related trademarks are the property of Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., and The Pokemon Company. CollectorBased is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokemon Company.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollectorBased disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that pricing data will be accurate or current.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollectorBased and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any reason we deem necessary to protect the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time through Settings → Account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CollectorBased is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
